Lactuca sativa

Red tinged Batavia-type lettuce with light green hearts. Very suitable for mid summer production, can also be used for protected spring cultivation and for baby-leaf production.

Sowing instructions




Sow seeds from February until March in a greenhouse or cold-frame, outside from March until the end of July. Sow seeds in seed trays or modules, cover seeds with 5mm of compost and place in light at a temperature of 18°c.




Growing instructions




Transplant seedlings into pots or modules and plant these later at a distance of 30x30cm. Lettuce requires a fertile, moist soil.
