Phaseolus vulgaris
Long fleshy pods of fine quality and good flavour, red flowering. Beans violet with black spots. If allowed to dry can be used as ’butter’ beans
Sowing instructions
Sow from the beginning of May, put 2-3 seeds per pole or cane. Space the poles at 80 x 80 cm. Sowing depth 5 cm.
Growing instructions
Grow runner beans in a fertile soil and apply compost.
